How To Apply For NID Card Correction? Step by Step
1st Step: At first, Visit Bangladesh Election Commission Official Website https://services.nidw.gov.bd/nid-pub/claim-account . Now, Enter the 10 or 17 digit number of your NID in the Empty NID Form number.
2nd Step: Now you have to give your current address information. Select your Division, District and Upazila here. Similarly, in the permanent address box, select the division, district and upazila of your permanent address. If everything is selected correctly, click on the next button.
3rd Step: Here your mobile number will show the same mobile number you provided while applying for NID card. If the mobile number is not provided during the application then there will be no mobile number. If mobile number is given earlier and that number is with you then click on send message button. And if the mobile number is wrong or not given, then change the mobile number by clicking on the change mobile or add mobile button.

4th Step: A Security code will go to your mobile, verify it and enter the code in the box. Here the time will be specified and you have to give the code within that specified time. If the message is delayed and times out, send a request to send the old code. If after that no message is received on the mobile then go back and change this number and give another mobile number. Then confirm the verification by sending the code.
5th Step: Now install the NID Wallet application from the playstore of your mobile and open the app and scan the QR code given here. Scan the QR code and first hold the mobile camera in front, then right, then left. Once the three verifications are complete, the following three images will be ticked. Complete the verification as instructed.
6th Step: Once the verification is complete from the app, it will automatically take you to the next step. In this step you need to set a password. But if you want you cannot set password. But I suggest you to set password. After setting the password, you don’t need to register again later.

1st Step: After successful account registration, you will be logged into NID account. Then, a page will appear in front of you.
2nd Step: There are 3 types of information, personal information, other information and address. To edit personal information, click on the blue edit button on the top right. Then the following page will appear. Here you will get the option to retype and edit the information.
3rd Step: Click on the tik option to the left of the information you want to modify. Thus, type your incorrect information correctly in accordance with the credentials. Then, click on the Next button. Here you can see the preview and revised version of your modified information. If everything is OK click next button again.

4th Step: Now, you have to pay the fee according to the type of your wrong information. Remember, don’t close what you’ve done so far, and stay on that page. You have to complete the rest of the application again by paying the fee. You can easily pay NID Fee from Rocket, Bkash, and Wallet.
5th Step: Log in to your Bkash account from the Bkash app to pay fee For NID Correction. Follow the below steps.

- select NID Service option

6th Step: You can scan or take a picture of the necessary documents and now you can upload your documents as needed and submit the application.
7th Step: After submitting the application, return to the dashboard. Above you will see a link to download the application. Click on the link to download the National Identity Card Amendment Form and save it to yourself.

You can apply online for correction of any mistake in National Identity Card by uploading suitable proof. If the application is approved by the authorities, you can download the NID card online. Generally, a maximum period of 45 days is fixed from National Identity Card for correction of voter ID card.
